From what I can remember throughout elementary school to high school I do not recall a ton of technology usage other than the use of movies, clips, and overheads. I do remember one teacher in high school though that would need assistance for everything when it came to technology. Everytime we were going to watch a movie or use a different form of technology he would need another teacher to come in and get it all set up while we waited. This did not seem like the best way to go about the use of technology. He should have learned or set up prior to class time. On the other end of things I have watched my sister, who is a second grade teacher this year, use a lot of technology in the classroom. She is a very good example of a teacher who uses technology wisely. The use of different slides, interactive activities, and clips have been blended into her everyday lesson plans. She knows how to use the Smart Board in her classroom and does not show any sign of inability to use the technology or fix any problems that occur.
