Pros: Technology can bring the subject matter to life in new, exciting, and interactive ways. Furthermore technology in the classroom can be used to educate about the power of new forms of media and their uses.
Cons: Professors can become overly reliant upon technology in the classroom, or use technology in a way that doesn’t really provide any benefit. Technology for technology’s sake or to make up for the areas a professor is found wanting, are two dangerous and possibly harmful ways in which technology can be a negative influence in the classroom. -
